Nordic Premiums is a subsidiary of Gunderson’s Jewelers, a family owned business since 1946 with a solid background in watch making and manufacturing jewelry.  Gunderson’s was founded in 1946 by George and Delila Gunderson as a wholesale watch repair shop. It soon grew into a business that not only repaired but sold watches as well as diamond jewelry and pen and pencil sets.

Since 1946, Gunderson’s has been providing various local businesses with recognition awards.  In 1989, Gunderson’s Premium Incentives became a formalized division of Gunderson’s, giving business customers access to corporate gifts, recognition awards, engraved plaques, embroidered / silk screen apparel, importing, and other promotional products.  In April of 2000, Gunderson’s Premiums was renamed Nordic Premiums, to differentiate the Corporate Gift Division from the Jewelry and Manufacturing Divisions.

Today, Nordic Premiums has locations or sales associates in Sioux City, Des Moines, and Iowa City, Iowa; Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and Overland Park, Kansas.  The manufacturing plant in Rapid City is capable of designing and cutting corporate rings or other corporate jewelry, die striking lapel pins and setting colored stones for years of service lapel pins.

Nordic Premiums is a member of the Advertising Specialty Institute, the Promotional Products Association International, Embroidery Trade Association and the National Association for Employee Recognition.

Nordic Premiums Recognition Awards Program is currently an online program accessed through the internet or an agency’s intranet.  Hard copies of the year of service level are available in print form and both versions are in English and Spanish.
